Yeah, things can only get worse... my dad tells me horror stories about people with meth mouth which is pretty good motivation to get stuff taken care of.

Eeew! I take it that your dad is a dentist? My dentist did a crown for me last year, and he is so gentle that it was a piece of cake.........even the shot. So, I don't really dread tomorrow.

Just don't be like me. When they pulled my teeth they gave me numbing shots in my tongue and not by my tooth so it numbed no pain just made me talk like I was a monster. It hurt so much that I ripped off the armrest in the newest of the many dental chairs. So they always make sure I am fully numb when they do dental work like that on me.

What a terrible experience you had! I've never heard of numbing shots in the tongue. Your pain must have been excruciating to rip off the armrest.

It was a new person that did it so they had no experience. The pain went away pretty quick It just felt like I was in Hell for that 2 minutes of yanking till it came out. The people got scared when I ripped off the armrest.

He's got a contract with the county and does work on inmates, mostly extractions, but he says he can tell which ones are regular meth users just by their teeth.

That being said, he's very good with Novocaine and regularly gets asked whether or not he's done the injection.

Interesting. I had no idea meth had an effect on teeth. I think most people are more concerned about the injection than the actual procedure. I was like that until my present dentist.

Oh I never got her again. I am also at a different dentist now. What really pissed me off is after I ripped it off a more experienced dentist came up to me and asked "Why did you do that, don't do that."
